The Committee on National Statistics (http://www7.nationalacademies.org/cnstat/) has formed a panel to conduct a review of the O*NET program. Linked here, for your information is a project description of the O*NET review. I'm serving on the panel. Unfortunately, we don't have the 14-month time frame mentioned in the project description. Most of the panel's work will be completed by this May.
The panel's first meeting is February 3rd. At that meeting I will be presenting a summary of the use of O*NET in career development. Also by February 3rd, I am to provide a list of individuals who might be invited to present at an April meeting and/or have written a paper on O*NET and career development.
I would like to collect supporting information and documentation on the current use of O*NET in career development. Please email me with any descriptions you can provide on the use of O*NET in products, curriculum materials, practices, articles, research papers, etc. Suggestions for whom to invite to present at the April meeting are also welcome. Please send me this information within the next couple of weeks, prior to the February 3rd meeting.
Thank you, in advance, for your comments and suggestions about the O*NET review.
